Paul Dougherty is a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer who graduated from West Chester University in 2015 with Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. Paul joined Industry Health Solutions in 2015 and is currently the Director of Injury Prevention Services. He is deeply involved in IHS policy and process development. He analyzes outcomes and provides leadership in advancing services that include injury prevention, ergonomic evaluations, job demands analysis, and assisting with workers’ compensation case management. Paul has developed proprietary software used by IHS to document Job Demands Analysis and create accurate and effective post-offer pre-employment testing for business partners. He has also been involved in creating and maintaining an internal meat and poultry based ergonomic evaluator certification for all IHS injury prevention specialists. Paul and his team are involved in many projects including knife design, scissor usage, glove choices, and workstation improvement designed to help reduce cumulative trauma disorders in the protein industry. Paul is a Certified Industrial Ergonomic Evaluator, Certified Workers Compensation Healthcare Provider, and a Correctional Exercise Specialist.
