Amber Oerly is currently a senior analyst at Fulcrum Global Capital, a Kansas City based venture capital firm. Amber brings a breadth of agriculture knowledge to Fulcrum. She was raised on her family’s farming operation in central Missouri and focused her education on agricultural economics, specifically beef and livestock economics. She is a graduate of Kansas State University, with her M.S. and B.S. in Agricultural Economics. Prior to attending Kansas State, Amber graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College with an associate degree in agriculture business.
Amber has research and internship experience with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, National Grazing Lands Coalition; Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; Noble Research Institute; and Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry. She has also served as a Farm Foundation Agricultural Economics Fellow, Kansas Farm Bureau Fellow, and Kansas Food and Agricultural Policy Fellow. These experiences enable Amber to consider the environmental, economic, and social tradeoffs of differing agricultural practices and technologies, especially at the farm level. Amber is passionate about rural America and innovative agricultural technologies. She enjoys learning about how agricultural producers adopt technologies and is excited to be a part of bringing innovative technologies to global food and agricultural production.
