Brooke Casey is a senior at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls studying Animal Science with an Equine emphasis for pre-veterinary medicine. Brooke started working in the Animal Welfare Lab in September of 2023 under the mentorship of Dr. Karly Anderson and Dr. Kurt Vogel and also works as a program technician for the Humane Handling Institute. Her research is focused on the assessment of humane handling enforcement actions issued by FSIS. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in the fall to pursue becoming an equine veterinarian.
