Tim Peters is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications segment, advising Food, Agriculture and Industrials clients on corporate reputation, issues management, and public affairs.
He brings nearly 30 years of consulting, corporate, and government experience. Before joining FTI in 2024, Tim held senior leadership roles at Golin, including U.S. Corporate Practice Lead, and Edelman, where he led the Corporate Reputation, Public Affairs, and Crisis teams.
Previous to his time in consulting, Tim served in both U.S. and global public affairs, issues management, and stakeholder engagement roles for McDonald's, and spent nearly seven years on Capitol Hill handling food, agriculture, and trade policy for three different members of Congress.
Tim serves on the boards of Kansas State University's Barry Flinchbaugh Center for Agriculture and Food Policy and the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation. A graduate of the University of Illinois and Kansas State, he remains a partner in his family's Central Illinois grain farm.
