Dave Duschene is a Senior Managing Director in the Public Affairs practice within FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. For more than 30 years, he has advised companies and executives on crisis management, corporate reputation, and strategic communications.

At FTI, Dave leads crisis preparedness initiatives, develops communications protocols, and helps organizations navigate high-profile reputational challenges, including food safety incidents, litigation, ingredients of concern, and environmental issues. His experience spans the food and agriculture, industrial, chemical, and manufacturing sectors, among others.

Before joining FTI, Dave spent nearly 24 years at Golin, where he led teams focused on crisis and issues management, corporate reputation, and employee communications. During that time, he counseled companies facing significant operational and reputational challenges and conducted crisis preparedness training for leadership teams.

Earlier in his career, Dave held communications leadership roles at H&K Strategies and Kemper Insurance Companies and began his career as a journalist. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Illinois Springfield and serves as a guest lecturer at DePaul University.
