Graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008 with a degree in Biology and specializing in Vertebrates.
Held industry positions as the Food Safety Specialist/Analyst at Smithfield’s Tar Heel Facility, the Director of Food Safety and Quality at Central Beef, the Beef/Pork Vendor Specialist at OSI Group and finally transferring to Europe as the Technical Manager of Quality for OSI Europe Foodworks/ EU Animal Welfare Officer. PAACO certified.
Currently living in Bavaria, Germany. My team oversees the Food Safety, Quality and Animal Welfare divisions of our European beef slaughter facilities. In addition, I am promoting the use of natural behavior for low stress cattle movement by building empathy through experience outside of our operations with suppliers, competitors, customers, and local government veterinarians.
