Karly Anderson is a PhD Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where she is also an assistant coach of the animal welfare judging team. She is also an affiliate of the Animal Welfare Lab at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Karly completed her BS in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and her MS in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on captive bolt euthanasia and stunning for cattle and swine. In addition, Karly has led research assessing Humane Handling Enforcement Actions issued by FSIS since 2019.
