Davida Rimm-Kaufman is a graduate research assistant in Livestock Welfare and Behavior at Colorado State University. She moved from Virginia to work with Dr. Edwards-Callaway, focusing on welfare during transportation for finished beef cattle. Before graduate school, she earned her Bachelor’s in Extension Education from Virginia Tech. She then worked for Cooperative Extension at Virginia State University, managing a mobile slaughter facility and supporting a sheep research team. Davida is excited to learn and grow as a researcher and is committed to improving livestock well-being, particularly within the meat industry.
