Jeff Brandenburg, the Founder/President of the Qfresh Lab/JSB Group, LLC, and has over 45 years of experience in packaging technology. Jeff has a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, with a minor Biomedical Engineering, and a M.S. in Food Safety from Michigan State University. He serves on the food safety and technology council of the International Fresh Produce Association; is the primary author and reviewer of numerous book chapters, trade and industry articles as well as association guidance documents. Jeff was the lead author for the Modified Atmosphere Pack¬aging (MAP) chapter for CRC’s latest publication on Modified and Controlled Atmospheres as well as contributing author in Watkins, C. (ed.), Advances in postharvest management of horticultural produce, Burleigh Dodds Science Publishing, Cambridge, UK (ISBN: 978 1 78676 288 7; www.bdspublishing.com)
Jeff is an adjunct Professor at Chapman University, teaching the Food Packaging course which is part of the Master in Food Science program. He is a lecturer at UC Davis in the Food Science Department as well as the Postharvest Technology Center. He is an adjunct Professor of Microbiology at a local college as well as an adjunct Professor at Bay Path University.
He is also on the Board of the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School (HIOBS).
