Despite a slowdown in production during the pandemic, the global meat industry has grown steadily each year and is projected to grow at 2.5% over the next decade. Amid all this growth, technological innovation in the industry has been limited and focused on production yield tech, and retail sales channels. Exports and trade, which will grow 10% by 2030, have been largely unaffected by the digital shift so far. We will discuss how technology focused on the B2B side of the industry can help with price transparency, global logistics, and the negative environmental impacts of global protein trading.
