Carolyn oversees research on the climate impacts of agriculture and commodity-driven deforestation, and how food companies can reduce the material risks associated with those impacts. She also supports research for Nature Action 100, a global investor-led initiative to drive corporate action and ambition on nature loss. Carolyn has authored several reports, including two Ceres reports on the natural climate solutions and the voluntary carbon market (The Role of Natural Climate Solutions in Corporate Climate Commitments and Evaluating the Use of Carbon Credits) and Ceres and Nature Action 100’s Exploring Nature Impacts and Dependences: A Field Guide to Eight Key Sectors. She has published several op-eds related to her research and has been a featured speaker at global climate and nature events.
