As Senior Director, Brand Equity & Innovation at Applegate, Jenny Burns is charged with preserving and strengthening the long-term health of the nation’s leading natural and organic meat brand. Her team serves as the engagement point with consumers, bringing the brand’s mission and values to life across owned and earned marketing channels.
Jenny is also responsible for setting the strategic vision for long term brand growth, including the development and execution of “white space” innovation platforms. Since joining the company, she has expanded Applegate’s reach into frozen breakfast, fresh snacking, meat + plant blends, and premium pasture-raised pork sausage—earning the brand multiple features in Whole Foods Market’s annual trend report and 4 NEXTY Award final round inclusions (with 2 glorious wins at Natural Products Expo West!).
Previously, Jenny held brand marketing and mission roles at Honest Tea and Dang Foods. She spent the early portion of her career at design firms leading branding & innovation projects for consumer food and tech companies. Jenny holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas and a BA from Cornell University.
