Dr. Richard Walsh is a Senior Staff Scientist in Ecolab’s Food and Beverage Division, specializing in the development of products that enhance food safety and quality in the food production industry.  Dr. Walsh completed his Bachelor’s studies in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Iowa State University.  He has 18 years’ experience supporting the food production industry, and in addition to developing and field-testing new cleaning and sanitizing products also routinely provides field support by consultation, on-site operational reviews and optimization, and seminars on cleaning and sanitation best practices as it relates to food and worker safety in food production.
